Cooking with Dell’Orto: 3 Simple Recipes
Share
Extra virgin olive oil isn’t just a healthy cooking fat — it’s a flavor powerhouse. And when that oil is cold-pressed, award-winning, and fresh from the hills of Campania, it deserves to do more than sit quietly in the background.
At Dell’Orto, we believe olive oil should lead the dish. That’s why we’ve curated three simple, flavor-forward recipes that celebrate the complexity and purity of our extra virgin olive oils. Whether you’re using our Gold Medal Organic, zesty Limonolio, or bold Piccantolio, these recipes let your EVOO shine.
🥖 1. Classic Italian Dipping Oil
Perfect with: Classic EVOO or PDO Colline Salernitane
There’s no better way to appreciate the aroma and bite of high-quality olive oil than with a rustic dipping oil. It’s an easy appetizer that feels elevated when made with premium ingredients.
Ingredients:
– ¼ cup Dell’Orto Classic EVOO
– 1 small garlic clove, finely minced
– 1 pinch red pepper flakes
– ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian herbs
– Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
– Optional: a few drops of balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
1. Pour the olive oil into a small shallow dish.
2. Add the garlic, herbs, pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
3. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to infuse, then serve with crusty bread.
Pro Tip: Use our PDO oil if you want a more robust, peppery finish with greater complexity.
🍝 2. Aglio e Olio – The 4-Ingredient Pasta
Perfect with: Organic EVOO
This minimalist pasta is proof that good ingredients make all the difference. Dell’Orto Organic EVOO transforms it into something luxurious.
Ingredients:
– 12 oz spaghetti
– ⅓ cup Dell’Orto Organic EVOO
– 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
– Pinch of red pepper flakes
– Salt and parsley to finish
Instructions:
1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
2. In a pan, heat olive oil over low. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until golden (not brown).
3. Toss cooked pasta into the pan. Add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce.
4. Finish with chopped parsley and more Organic EVOO to serve.
🍊 3. Limonolio Citrus Vinaigrette
Perfect with: Limonolio (Lemon-Infused EVOO)
This bright, tangy vinaigrette turns any salad, grilled veggie platter, or seafood dish into something special.
Ingredients:
– 3 tbsp Dell’Orto Limonolio
– 1 tbsp white wine vinegar or lemon juice
– 1 tsp Dijon mustard
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Whisk vinegar/lemon juice and mustard together.
2. Slowly drizzle in Limonolio while whisking until emulsified.
3. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle generously over greens, roasted asparagus, or grilled shrimp.
